Also, the scum have been doing well, as in hiding very effectively. Except for the drinking, they've been very unconnected and low profile. But still, the scum haven't won yet. If the town gets peeker today, or if Hal kills peeker tonight (and you know he will), that will even out the game more...if he kills Kat, the advantage will probably shift to town. And the town could still pull a Skrull Planet.

I'm not trying to jump all over your case. I was just a little but surprised and grrr that the game would already be over except for the dying. And I would be willing to bet that no one will put together that all the scum are trying to get folks to drink at night. It's just not something that would occur to anyone.

Personally, I like trying to predict the winner, given spoilers, on day/night 3. I actually think that that can be done pretty accurately over most of the games. Plus, it gives me a chance to bulk up on my intuition.

I think this game should be renamed Lurker Mafia.

I know it's mean, but does anyone else see the humor in paulwhoisaghost being lynched hours after joining the game? I mean the guy's been uber-excited to see some Mafia action since he joined last week.
I'm a bad person lol.

The real evil part is that he is being lynched for killing me and he didn't even do it. All he did to me was give me 5 extra votes on a day I was already dead. Maybe if pede would have put those votes up in the vote count he would have stood a chance. The total randomness of this game for town is vexing.

And I'm amazed that they think it would do that--the 9th number is pretty obviously a kill, and the 6th...not so much.

Most of the folks playing the game are totally clueless about the SSB Universe. Not to mention the fact that a 6 is about 1/3 of a 9 so it could have been a 30% kill shot that beat the odds. Read the role PM with no knowledge of the game.

Point the first: The scum are all lurking like mad and it is working for them. Point the second: I still don't think anyone will ever connect the drinking with an in-game mechanic.

The interesting thing is, though, that Mr. Game and Watch was specifically designed to be a sucky role, one that would probably be a burden to town. If town were doing better otherwise, this would be a good lynch.

I can't believe I posted such sucky math. It should have been 2/3 and a 60% shot. DOH.

With Misterblockey's vote here, we see why one of my cardinal rules of Borda count voting is... never, ever vote for yourself! Chucara is now on 20 points, Paulwhoisaghost 19 and Shaggy 21. If he doesn't come online, or fails to notice the position in the votecount, his little third-placed vote for himself will be the tiebreaking point that gets him pummelled.

Well, at least my plan of getting the scum to think the town could always lynch me later worked on one of them...

Incidentally, right now, Misterblockey is in limbo.
Because I am a bonehead, I forgot to send a PM to shaggy asking him if he'd kill his killer or not until right before the day started. I decided to have him not, and then, when he got there, if he decided to, write it in then. Misterblocky knows he is in limbo, and can still post.

About tdpatriots12 being an investigator: that hurts a lot since we already lost another in Rysto. Looking at tdpatriots posts for breadcrumbs - I don't see any. My guesses would be a Zeriel or special ed N1 and Chucara N2 (he talks he whole paragraph why I doesn't want to lynch Chucara). So that doesn't helps us at all. I went out of my way not to breadcrumb. I didn't think accepting the staff would be my death warrant, but figured that if I breadcrumbed scum would just as easily be able to spot it as town. My goal was to lurk until I got a strong list of names, then perhaps go aggressive or just claim and list everyone and get lynched. If I had known what the staff did was so, well, lame - I wouldn't have bothered grabbing it. And I might be still alive... Edit: Reason I expected it to be more powerful and not be the end of me was my brief searches (and pede's PM language) made me think that it was a weapon of some kind, offensive or defensive, I didn't know. Ie: I just felt like it was overstating the abilities the staff would grant me. If I had known exactly what I was getting into, I wouldn't in a million years have made a peep about my staff. And judging from a quick skim of the scum boards, I wasn't even on their radar until I did so. I'm not angry, just frustrated that's how it went down, because I feel like I was in a good position to help the town if it wasn't for the staff - despite my problems of actual disinterest interfering with and exacerbating my deliberate lurking.

What are my scum buddies thinking?
I can see Sheik claiming, since he realizes he'll die with Zelda, but I think it's still a day early for any other claims.

something that occurred to me as I read, but didn't at the time because of my PIS...
Natlaw says
He's taking my calling HIM out as Zelda as evidence that Nanook must be Scum.
But, how on earth would I know that it was Natlaw that was Zelda?
Was there any evidence of that? Have I just forgotten after all this time?

So lame that our little gambit failed. That would have been EPIC. I wonder if they realize they can still pull it off?
And pede, for the record, Peeker is out of line bitching about whatever the hell it was he was bitching about. He didn't post his vote, it doesn't count pure and simple.

Won't KidV be surpised when he comes in here and finds out they knew he was bluffing and killed him anyways because it fits their overall victory plan.
It was a nice try though KidV!

Yeah... it was a good play, from my perspective at the time. Anybody think there's enough info to convict Molefan, based on Kats slip? I totally saw it, but I'm spoiled... can Hoopy put it together, after Kat and Shaggy are dead and the game isn't over?
