The Town (12):
6 Vanilla Townies
Bellingham & Wilson (Investigator and Doctor)
The two busybodies (Masons)
John Winthrop (Governor/Politician)
A traveling preacher (Minion Master)
The Sinners (3):
Hester
Pearl (Sinner Roleblocker)
Dimmesdale (Secret Sinner/Sinner Alpha)
The Blackhearts (3):
Chillingworth (Scum Doctor (with sin))
Mistress Hibbins (Scum Investigator (with sin))
An unnamed anarchist (Vanilla scum (without sin))
18 players total
(Note: I noted where there were obscure changes from the original)
Governor Bellingham:
Town investigator. Will get either Pure (for uninfected townies), Sinner (for a sinner or one infected), or Blackheart (for the four scum). He is unable to be infected with the seed of sin. If he is ostracized, he can use one more investigation that night, and make one more strategy-related post that morning.
Reverend Wilson:
Town doctor. Can visit a house each night, and that person will be unaffected by any sinful activity that night (the kill, infection, Pearl's roleblock, etc.). Wilson will also cure his target of the seed of sin, if his target was an infected townie. Wilson is also unable to be infected, and if he is ostracized, he will be able to make one more protect before leaving.
The Two Busybodies:
Typcial masons. They know who each other are, and can talk during the day.
John Winthrop:
Has the powers of a Governor (can stop the lynch) and the powers of a Politician (can buy a player's vote and change it throughout the day). If he uses his Governor's powers when the town votes to execute, he will merely bump it down to an ostracization.
A Traveling Preacher:
As a traveling preacher, he has much control over the power of sin. However, he does start pure. His powers:
--He can purge someone of the seed of sin. Doing this will cause the target to have a post restriction the next day.
--He can switch the places of two players. Anyone targeting one of them would get the other, and vice versa. If one of them had the seed of sin and the other didn't, that would switch too.
--He can watch someone, and will find out if they are doing stuff. Doing this will infect someone at random.
--He can also kill any player. Note that he can do this only when half or more players have the seed of sin. Also, he can only do this during the Day, where it is visible to all the other players. Doing this will infect the preacher with the seed of sin.
The Sinners:
All of the sinners save Dimmesdale are in open communication over the entire game. If one has the seed of sin purged from her, they will have to reinfect her at some point. Each night, any one of them can infect the player of their choice (but NOT KILL). More specifically:
Hester: Is immune to the Blackhearts' kill.
Pearl: Can roleblock one player each night if not doing the kill.
Dimmesdale: Starts off pure, and seemingly town. When infected, gains communication with the other sinners (Hester and Pearl). However, he will still look pure to investigation.
The Blackhearts:
Typical scum. Each night, one of their number can do the kill.
Chillingworth: If Chillingworth doesn't do the kill, he can protect someone during the night instead. That player will sense a 'faint healing feeling' when he wakes up.
Mistress Hibbins: If Hibbins doesn't do the kill, she can investigate during the night. All she'll get as results are 'pure' or 'sinner'.
An Anarchist: Starts without the seed of sin.
