Wakababoom! TWO townies down. We'll have to see what the vote count is, but for now I'm declaring a STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE! Five vs four today guys... if we can get just one person to put their three-vote on KidV, that'll be enough for a lynch-win. Woohoo! Also: YAY! I FINALLY GOT TO KILL AN ACTUAL PLAYER! And in quite an impressive way actually. (Nothing personal Roxis, if you're watching this from the spoiler's lounge, you know I love ya really.)

Post by molefan1981 on Mar 1, 2009 20:57:40 GMT -5
OK so here's what I'm thinking. Let me repeat part of yesterday's post: If Paul doesn't make a conclusive hit, or hits Hoopy with three votes, our first priority should be splitting the town votes and lynching KidV. To do this, we need at least one townie to be voting KidV three times at the end. That means that our first priority is keeping attention off KidV at the start of the day, and not doing anything to make it look like he's being bussed by the scum. - Punker, I suggest that you and I act towards the end of the second RL day to make him a valid target. - Punker, your best shot is probably voting KidV for three votes, Peeker or Kat for two, yourself for one. - Peeker and Kat, stay the hell off KidV, even though you voted him yesterday Kat. (In fact, do nothing whatsoever to draw attention to that fact.) You two can be our surprise hit. - Finally, I can claim to have investigated him as scum late on to keep people's votes on him. I will ONLY do this if there's a good chance he looks to be lynched anyway. So what I'm thinking is, first of all we wait to see what the vote count is. We stay low for a (RL) day or two, and go with the above order. But honestly, I think this is too good an opportunity to miss. If nothing better comes up, and there's no objections, I'm going to bus KidV. I mean, if we get one mislynch, we win. It's that simple. BTW, if I do bus KidV, it might be a good idea for Peeker and Kat to accuse me of lying (as KidV will undoubtedly do). If all the scum fall in line behind me obediently, it'll look pretty dodgy. And if the town are divided - well, hell, it's five-four, as long as fifteen votes are on a townie at the end it doesn't really matter what they think.

That ruins our plans a little bit. Remember though, we don't necessarily have to have a first place vote on KidV. We can have two townies put their second vote, or a few put him as third. With enough second place votes we can still kill him.

Change of plan suggestion: I might as well go ahead and claim peeker[/i] and Hoopy as my actual switch, unless...moley wants to still claim he got a Townie result for him, which would thus cement peeker as the Godfather.

OK, it's very, very easy to win if we can all get online at the end of play today. As I recall, I said something like that yesterday, and look what happened.
So here's what we do instead.
Day 6: I have two Pikmin. I bus Punker. Punker gets lynched. I ask Parzival for help tonight.
Night 6: I have three Pikmin. Peeker trophyfies KidV. Parz, hopefully, gives me extra Pikmin for my protection. I claim to have been attacked at night.
Day 7: Peeker gets bussed. If Parzival has done his work correctly, I should have five Pikmin. If not, we're still ok as long as I have a purple guy.
Night 7: I now have six Pikmin. Kat kills Pollux. I kill Hoopy, leaving Parzival and Shaggy as the two remaining town.
Day 8:
Parzival, Shaggy and I all vote Kat. The suspicion for the second night-kill should be divided between the three of us, but as long as Kat goes we're safe, right? Kat votes me second, Shaggy third. Then at the last minute, Kat and I both change our votes to Shaggy and take them off each other.
If another kill is needed, Kat takes out Parzival.
And there you have it. Game over dudes.
Any comments, questions, objections of any sort?

No one's going to put a 3-vote on KidV, but if we can get one 2-vote and one 1-vote; or 3 1-votes, that could do it. Actually we need four. And we need to all be online to switch votes at the last minute. What possible faith do you have in that plan working out? I proposed it once before, remember? Read my action plan above. If we do it that way, it doesn't matter what Pollux comes up with, nor what KidV does at night. And we don't all have to be scrambling for a last-minute vote, which we assuredly will have to do if we try and take out KidV today. Also, the term "poisoner" won't matter now that Roxis has been confirmed as one. Nonetheless, we need to take out Peeker FIRST. I forgot about that - we can't take the risk of KidV learning that we've been poisoning drinks at night. He still has to die before Punker does.

That would work, right?

Post by molefan1981 on Mar 2, 2009 4:51:01 GMT -5
Yeah, but you see, even if your Internet works, Kat's or Peeker's might fail.
Last time we didn't even need all of us to be online, and we couldn't get the job done. This time we do. I don't want to take that risk. And if I claim KidV is scum now, he can just say that it's an attempt to save Peeker. (Which it will be.) And nobody with half a brain is going to believe that Peeker and KidV are scum together.
Kat, do you have any issues with the plan I've just laid out? One big one that I can see: it means leaving Pollux alive one more day when we don't have a roleblock left. That's the one thing I can think of that might expose all six of us.
Another adjustment: Punker might ask Pede to "mark" Hoopy right before he's lynched. In reality this is meaningless, but it could mean that he could be blamed for the second subsequent night-kill.

When I say "expose all six of us" I mean "expose that there are six of us", obviously. Pollux won't claim Olimar or Peach as a faked role, and he's already done the damage as far as Samus is concerned.

Post by molefan1981 on Mar 2, 2009 5:33:16 GMT -5
Put it this way - what alternative plan do you propose? If I had any confidence at all that we could pull off a last-minute KidV lynch, I'd exonerate Punker and have the townies vote him into 2nd place. I don't. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome each time.
I can't now condemn KidV. Claiming Punker as human means that the townies will be without a suspect once they kill off Kat, and also means that the two scum without nightkills are the last two left. Claiming Kat as human is completely unnecessary and also gives me away if they don't buy it. Claiming Pollux as human just looks weak as hell, and might get them to suspect me. And hell, I need to investigate someone. So please, what alternative is there here?
Now that Roxis is exposed as a poisoner herself, it shouldn't occur to the townies to suspect the night drinking.

Post by molefan1981 on Mar 2, 2009 16:53:26 GMT -5
Well goddamn it, I went with the majority on not killing Pollux three nights ago, and look where that got us.
Sorry Punker, but I'm going with my reasoning on this one. If we can get one more double night-kill in two nights' time then we'll be at two vs. two, at which point we simply cannot lose provided there's one unsuspected scum to deliver the knockout vote. And the only way we'll get a double night-kill is if we sacrifice two scum. Hell, Peeker is going no matter what, and we have even less chance of lynching KidV tomorrow than we do now (which is pretty close to zero in my opinion).
I suggest that we come online at the end of the day, if we can all get online, and see if there are four KidV votes. (Actually I might be able to help with that.) If so, we can win it here and now. If not, we go into night, take out KidV by nightkill (so that he can't expose what Punker's been doing as poisoner), and hope and prey that Pollux doesn't get a message saying there are six scum instead of five. That's the one thing he could possibly get that could damage us now.
Punker, try and keep a low profile until tomorrow night (when you'll get to strike one final blow at the town. Hope you enjoy it.)
If anybody has a better idea for getting us into an equal voting position with the town tonight, now would be a really really good time to reveal it! Otherwise I pull the trigger in an hour's time.

I will not post anything on the boards without posting here first. I still think we have a good chance of getting someone else lynched from 2nd and 3rd votes, but I am ready to sacrifice for the team.
I say we plan on your plan, but if we are all on at the end of the day and someone happens to have enough 2nd/3rd votes then we attack. We won't plan on it, but if the opportunity is there...

OK guys, just keep doing what you're doing. Right now the town looks to be totally convinced that I'm on their side. If we can pull off the double night-kill in two nights' time unsuspected (for which we'll need your help, Punker) then provided I get the last vote in at f4, we can't lose.
Right now the town must think the scum are scrambling for any possible foothold and on the verge of utter defeat. Let's not give 'em any reason to doubt that.
