Following is a post I intend for game thread. I hope someone's on-line to advise. Only one vote toDay, and the Day is well along. On Day 1, we voted for mostly bad reasons. ToDay we're not voting at all. Come on, Townies. Apathy is pro-Scum. I'm not voting yet either, but I've voiced slight suspicions. If other players detect faint scum-tells, please voice them. We need to get cases going. The voting record, along with evidence of smudging, is the way to find Scum, but our voting record toDay consists so far of a single Vote. :smack: Does the Day 1 vote help? Some said the tie was pro-Scum, but even this was never debated. If indeed pro-Scum, would it would be wise to look among the tie-breaking votes for Scum? Whether the tieing votes or the one-off votes are more likely Scum is unclear to me. A discussion of why "the tie was good for Scum" might help; even if inconclusive the discussion itself might be revealing. One good scum-hunting idea is to look for smudging. How about this: I did call attention to the Lurkers, who are anti-Town, but asked Vig to kill them rather than Lynching them. (OTOH, if we can't find another Lynchee toDay, Lynching Lurker may be as good as anything.) Similarly, that the one-off voters didn't try to break the tie near end-of-Day seems somewhat anti-Town. But I'm not going to cast a vote on one of these unless I pick up some other scum-tell. When you write "forgotten your promise ... attempt to lead us astray" it seems to me you are misconstruing my words. I am trying to be helpful, suggesting lines for discussion and players pinging me slightly. But guiri, your Day 1 vote was almost a joke, and your Day 2 contribution is to smudge me. A point in your defense is that in prior games, for some reason, you often pick on Townie Septimus to smudge. Nevertheless it seems enough for a vote: Vote: GuiriEnEspaƱaIn other news, as of today Mrs. Septimus and I have been married for exactly N years, so if I post in a few hours, I'll be giddy with champagne! (I'm keeping N secret -- I don't want any Googler to find out the wonderful Mrs. Septimus' secret identity. -- but will admit that N is a rather largish number.)

If it looks like I'll be Lynched, should I claim Doctor, hoping to draw out the real Doc? If so, who did I protect last Night? Please advise.
As I say in game thread, I'll be on-line little, but will check in at least once Friday.

So who do you think is the best candidate to NK, I would love to get rid of choie, I think that would throw even more suspicion on Svejk. If we kill Svejk, of course, that could throw suspicion on choie. If we kill Scathach that would also throw suspicion on Svejk, people would think he was trying to gain Town cred by voting for Scathach's target, any thoughts?

I still think guiri may be best bet for our kill. He noticed a flaw in my role PM (sorry about that ... I worried on it and guessed wrong), someone else picked up on it, but, whether I die soon or not, guiri seems too good at scum-hunting. I'm disappointed fellow Scum didn't join the Lynch Septimus bandwagon and recommend it for future. In the previous game where I was Scum Godfather (I think all three of you were in that game) Scum won, in part because of fellow Scum's eagerness to Lynch me! Anyway, one decision seems clear: Protect: septimus

Guiri is brilliant at scum hunting! Each game is different and I think if we had jumped on your bandwagon you might just have been killed, instead we got rid of another Townie which makes us stronger. I hate having to sacrifice a team mate, EVER!
At the moment Special Ed is under fire too and I will be when I start writing again, I think I made it through cos I wasn't there and had a reasonable excuse.
I agree with protecting septimus at the moment but who are we going to kill???
Thinking about it guiri could be a good target.
Then who do we roleblock???

Let's kill Astral again. And maybe block him too.

Why Astral? There are people out there far that are far more dangerous to us? Svejk for one!

Why Astral? There are people out there far that are far more dangerous to us? Svejk for one! I also recommend focusing on specific enemies going after our persons. But several players have already said they want to Lynch Svejk for his scummy-looking vote-switch. I say, let him live for now. Even if he ends up not being Lynched, discussing his possible Lynch will be a good distraction. (Off-topic: @ Ed -- there was a recent game where you were Detective and died Night 2 or so. We wondered if you'd left a breadcrumb in the Day 2(?) thread, but IIRC I never got my curiosity satisfied. Did you bread-crumb?)

Another thought: Town discussing, at Nighttime, their next Day's Lynch is helpful to Scum, and hence Scummy. Perhaps we should call attention to that toMorrow.

Because Svejk is under heavy suspicion. He's likely to be lynched. Why should we kill him when he's one of our best bets for a mislynch?
Astral is unlikely, at this point, to be mislynched. So we have to kill him.

SilverJan, don't try to fix this in the game thread, or worry about it, just let it go.
But, your recent post would have earned my vote. I'm just going to ignore it though, for now
yes, someone voted you for posting less fluff. You actually came up with a game-related reason why.
When [people come up with game-reasons for why they are doing something that needs no explanation, I get suspicious. Not to say it's always ight, but it pings me when I notice it.

hehe, no problems, more than likely I would have missed it since I hadn't made the initial accusation.
So here's my vote:
Protect: Septimus Block: Astral Kill: Astral
With Astral going after Svejk it might add to the case against him a little

Also, Gnarly, Mahaloth's point is right.
You find him more suspicious and yet you vote for me.
When you flip Scum, I would make the guess that either Mahaloth or Special Ed are Scum.

i'm done with Ed's suggestion. i hope he's a role (vig?). it would be a waste of a block otherwise. i'll address the my vote inthread.

anyone else can change these if they feel strongly about it

We'll need to be prepared for a watcher claim on Septimus,
Jan will have to claim redirector or something.
A tracker would also suck as septimus won't visit himself.
